Membership

Membership in MEJCS includes all immediate family members indicated on the completed membership application form.  Typical membership includes one or two parents (or legal guardians) and their children.  Other memberships may include an individual adult member or couple who are interested in taking Japanese classes or participating in the school.  All members under the age of 18 require an adult family member to be a member of MEJCS.

There are two types of memberships offered by the MEJCS; Member and Supporting Member.  Benefits and responsibilities of each will be listed below.

NOTE: Employees of the school are not eligible for membership.

Benefits of Membership

Members of the MEJCS are eligible to:

  • Enroll in classes
  • Participate in school events
  • Use the school library
  • Receive school correspondence
  • Vote at AGM and special meetings.

Supporting members of the MECJS are eligible to:

  • Participate in the preschool program
  • Participate in school events
  • Use the school library
  • Receive school correspondence
